As part of our visit to Vietnam we were invited to attend the first ever UWS graduation ceremony in Vietnam for 84 Vietnamese students who have studied with UWS. It is always great to see happy graduates and proud family and friends at graduations. For many of the students it is a glimpse into the future with many of them graduating themselves next year.
At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony the students were met by UWS Chancellor Peter Shergold AC, Vice Chancellor Barney Glover, Associate Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Yi-Chen Lan and Dean of the School of Business Professor Clive Smallman, all who were most pleased the students were able to be part of the graduation.
The students were also privileged to speak with the Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Mr John McAnulty who gave the occasional address at the graduation ceremony.
At the conclusion of the students then attended the alumni gala dinner where Stewart won what may be considered the equivalent of Ho Chi Minh’s Got Talent with a spectacular dance and mime to a Vietnamese song he had never heard before…….
