One of the activities for the study tour was the idea of bringing AFL to Vietnam. With the support of the GWS GIANTS and AFL NSW/ACT who supplied balls and drink bottles, we were able to make this happen with a group of Vietnamese soccer students at the Sport Training Centre in Vietnam.

The students got ready for the training session and the day began with all directions and instructions for the day translated.
A huge congratulations to Jason Baldi and David Gitz (UWS students and employees with AFL NSW ACT) and Stewart Gilberd who co-ordinated the sessions with a great professionalism.
The students picked up many of the skills very quickly and were even able to have a game with the students
Overall a great day and who knows maybe event a budding Vietnamese AFL player may have been unearthed.
