Today I began my 7th study tour to Vietnam and this time I am accompanied by 20 students from the School of Business across the disciplines of Hospitality, Sport, Marketing, International Business and Tourism. And of course tour mascot Cecil joins for his third tour to Vietnam.
Once arriving in Vietnam our first stop was dinner at the the Pho24 restaurant. This restaurant was the first franchise business set up in Vietnam and at its peak had 65 stores throughout Asia. The significance of this chain for the students is that this restaurant chain was established by our hospitality alumni Dr Ly Qui Trung. Here the students not only get to enjoy the traditional noodles of Vietnam, but also learn about the very inspiring Dr Trung who once sat in their seat as a student.
