Fun in signage to add to the experience

Often when organisations are designing their servicescape there is a requirement for various forms of signage.  Sometimes this maybe to assist guests navigate their way around the organisation or may be something informative.  These signs may have been put there by the organisation or they may be a requirement due to regulation.

Regardless of the reason there is no reason that organisations cannot have a bit of fun with their guests with signage to make their guests smile – remember part of providing an experience is to elicit emotions from your guests.  One themed example is found in Hogs Breath Cafes, a pig themed restaurant which uses the words “Boars” for men and “Sows” for ladies on the toilet doors.
