The Vietnam Swans are an AFL team which is made up of primarily expatriate Australians living and working in Vietnam. For a number of years now Phil Johns (former president) has meet with students as part of the study tour experience.
Phil has again graciously given his time to captivate the students with his experiences in developing a national ALF team in Vietnam and also about working in Vietnam in his capacity with the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam.
The Vietnam Swans are also more than just a AFL team, they also provide a support network forAustralians in Vietnam. They are also a supporter of learn to swim programs in Hoi An and they also contribute to an orphanage. In support of this great work I had the pleasure of presenting Phil with a signed GSW GIANTS jersey from UWS which will be used at the charity auction held by the Swans as pat of their 2015 ANZAC match.
