When journeying to a new city it is great to get a feel of the place and see some of the sights and sounds. For our Hanoi city tour we had university students escort us to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Presidential gardens. This gives students the chance to find out more about the history of Vietnam and helps put elements of the tour into greater perspective.
We also visited the temple of literature which was established in 1070 and is the oldest university in Vietnam. Many students travelled thousands of miles by foot to come to the university and only approximately 1000 scholars graduated. At the Temple of Literature students are asked to think about their time on the study tour and what had lead them to being at the Temple and parallel their journey to the scholars of days gone by.
So what is the best way to get around Hanoi for city tour, bikes of course, have a look at the following link
