In 2013 I successful applied for Federal Government funding as part of a program called AsiaBound to provide university students with a subsidy to assist with the cost of international study tours. As a result there a limited number of $2,000 subsidies available for students who participate in the 2014 Vietnam study tour.
To receive the subsidy there will be an application process which you will need to undertake and for successful applicants the cost of the trip will reduce by the amount of the subsidy.
So how do you apply for a subsidy for the 2014 study tour?
Firstly to be eligible for the subsidy you need to enrolled in either Hospitality Management applied Project (200561) or Sport Management Applied Project (200751).
Secondly you need to tell us ‘why you want to go on the study tour and what you hope to gain from the tour‘ (include something Vietnamese in your submission). You may choose any format through which to do this and applications will be judged by myself and the Director of UWS International. As part of the judging we will looking for those applications which take an innovative approach to the task.
Your submissions is due by midnight on Monday 9th June 2014.
Applicants will be advised of the outcome of their submission shortly after the due date.
Once advised of a successful submission those students will be asked to make an initial $500.00 deposit to confirm their place on the tour and their $2,000 subsidy.
If you have any questions in relation to the subsidy please contact me at t.j.hall@uws.edu.au and I will be happy to answer any questions
Good luck to those who apply.
