Increasingly students are being given the opportunity to participate in short term overseas mobility experiences with an increasing number of tour opportunities reflecting the increased funding available to support these programs. The development and operation of these mobility experiences has also seen the development of a commercial operators developing mobility experiences on behalf of eduction providers. With the increasing in activity involving student mobility experiences there is a need develop more dedicated resources to support those responsible for developing and implementing such an important part of curriculum. The ‘Study tour experience‘ blog will provide commentary on what resources may assist in maximising student participation and experience in relation to short term overseas mobility experiences.
Since 2010 Tim has been involved in taking students to Vietnam apart of a short term overseas mobility experience. As the organiser and tour leader of these mobility experience to Vietnam, the ‘Same, Same but different blog‘ documents the experience offered whilst on tour.
